Phase-by-phase execution
How It All Began
This project came to us through a friend’s referral—proof that word of mouth is still one of the most powerful ways to grow. Our client had just bought a newly built 3-bedroom apartment in Unity East, Tatu City and needed help furnishing the space into a warm, welcoming home.
We started with a site visit to understand the space and our client’s preferences. It became clear early on: his style leaned towards rich leathers, deep wood tones, and an overall traditional aesthetic that feels grounded and elegant.
Creating the Plan
After the visit, we developed a full budget and design concept led by a mood board. While the vision was aligned, the full project cost felt steep for the client at the time. Our solution? A phased approach.
We split the project into six focused stages:
- Living Room
- Dining Room
- Kitchen Bar Area
- Guest Room 1
- Guest Room 2
- Primary Bedroom
This structure allowed us to prioritize key spaces while keeping timelines and spending manageable.
The Process
All the furniture was custom-made—a decision that elevated the entire space but also meant extended timelines, especially with materials like premium leather that required a month-long tanning process. Over the course of 7 months, we worked closely with local artisans to bring each phase to life with intention and quality.
Midway through, our client had to return to the UK for work. We maintained consistent communication via WhatsApp—sending progress photos, design updates, and celebrating every finished phase together, even across time zones.
The Final Result
This home tells a story of warmth, character, and classic taste. A few highlights include:
- Living Room: A high-back brown leather sofa sits proudly under a statement chandelier, setting a tone of timeless sophistication.
- TV Unit: Custom-designed in solid mahogany, it includes a sleek space for a soundbar and storage for media accessories.
- Dining Room: A rich mahogany table paired with mid-back chairs, all brought to life under clean pendant lighting.
- Primary Bedroom: An earthy, grounded retreat with a handcrafted solid mahogany bed—bold, elegant, and deeply personal.
Why This Project Matters
Unity East was more than a job—it was a partnership built on trust, craftsmanship, and the power of good design to make a space feel like home. Every finish, every fabric, every photo sent across continents was part of that story.
